Pixel Critters: 15 Animated Fish, Birds & Bugs (16x16, 4 Directions)

Five fish, five birds and five bugs as 16 × 16 pixel sprites, drawn to sit together in one game: the same outline, the same palette, the same four directions.

• Fish: River Trout, Silverfin, Moon Koi, Perch, Catfish. Idle, Swim, Flop
• Birds: Pigeon, Seagull, Crow, Mallard (Idle, Walk, Fly) and a Blue Tit that hops (Idle, Hop, Fly)
• Bugs: Ant, Cockroach, Spider (Idle, Walk), a Cricket that also hops, and a Butterfly (Idle, Fly)

924 frames, every clip 6 frames and looping. Each animal moves its own way: a fish swings its tail while its head nods against it, the pigeon's head catches up at every step, the mallard waddles, the blue tit hops, and the bugs stride on two sets of elbowed legs, rocking and swaying with every step. Idle, the ant cleans a feeler, the cockroach sweeps the air and the spider rears.

Four directions: left and right show the animal from the side, down has it coming toward you, face first, and up going away.

Strict palette: 14 colours for the whole pack, and no animal uses more than 7 of them. No stray shades and no soft edges.

Files:

• one sheet per animal with all its clips (a row a direction), and each clip also as its own sheet
• a JSON file beside every sheet with each frame's place and timing and the clips as named tags (the layout Aseprite and TexturePacker write: Phaser and PixiJS load it as an atlas)
• the Aseprite source file of every animal, with the clips as tags and the palette loaded
• a still icon of each animal for an inventory, a shop or a journal
• the palette as .hex, .gpl and PNG
• 32-bit PNGs with a see-through background, no padding: slice on a 16 × 16 grid

They are the animals of Low Poly Fish, Low Poly Birds and Low Poly Bugs, drawn again by the pixel.
